Appellation: Protected Designation of Origin (PDO)
Type: Red Dry Wine
The color is bright, deep cherry-red. The nose reveals aromas of blackberries, raspberries and ripe strawberries with just a touch of aniseed and spices such as clove and cinnamon. It is a medium-bodied wine with elegant structure, balanced acidity and very ripe, elegant tannins. The finish is moderately-long, dominated by red fruits and followed by sweet vanilla and black pepper.
Food Pairing: Red Meat, Pizza, Pasta with Red Sauces, Traditional Greek Cuisine, Tuna fillet, Burgers.
Best Served at: 15ο – 17ο C. During the warm summer months, enjoy it at a low temperature 10ο -12ο C.
Vinification Method: Cold maceration (cold soak) for 3 days Alcoholic fermentation and extraction in stainless steel vats at 22-25ο C. Total extraction time 15-18 days. Aging for 12 months in French Oak Barrels of second and third use.
